Case Introduction
Our collaboration with this website began at the start of our link-building journey. This was one of the first clients for whom we provided a comprehensive service. Previously, in-house specialists handled link building, but it didn’t yield significant results, as most of the links had the “nofollow” attribute. The client decided to turn to an outsourced team and chose our agency.
First and foremost, we conducted a thorough site and backlink profile analysis free of charge. During the study, we identified several issues that were hindering the effectiveness of the links. The main problem was the large number of low-quality backlinks that weren’t adding value. These were links from domains with weak metrics and irrelevant topics. This led to the following issue: the website lacked sufficient authority, which reduced its visibility in search engines and did not provide a steady increase in traffic. In addition to the irrelevant topic of donor sites, our team did not find any domains from Tier 1. Most of the links were from regions that didn’t match the target geo. Based on this analysis, we identified the key issues to address to achieve results:
Results of the Work
After two years of work, our team was able to not only fix the issues with the low-quality backlink profile but also improve the website’s metrics. While it’s true that the increase in organic traffic was not solely achieved through backlinks but also comprehensive SEO work done by the client, it’s important to note that a proper backlink profile accounts for 50% of success. As the demand for niche-specific backlinks grows due to ongoing updates, in recent months, we’ve focused exclusively on relevance. This has helped us earn the trust of Google Bot.

Now, let’s dive into the details of the links we placed for our client’s website. We’ll start with the most expensive and profitable links – outreach and guest posts. Here’s an example of an outreach link placement:
The main task we faced was to find high-quality donors for placing outreach links. Since the client’s niche is competitive, the number of unique donors without grey outbound links (such as in the betting niche) or a constant flow of outbound links was zero. However, our team mobilized all efforts to find these domains. Over two years, we selected over 300 high-quality domains with the following metrics: DR 30+; traffic 1000+; and, most importantly, relevance to the client’s site.
We believe our team successfully handled the domain selection. Many unique domains were included in the list of placed links.
As mentioned earlier, in addition to expensive links, we also placed forum links. These were primarily used to diversify the client’s backlink profile. Thanks to forum links, we were able to achieve an organic-looking profile and balance the follow/nofollow ratio, which further strengthened the domain’s trust.
We want to note that we stick to the mandatory requirements for forum sites, such as – 1 link from 1 domain. That is, we categorically do not put several links from one donor, as we consider it is not competent building a link profile.

The e-commerce niche is highly competitive and demands a precise link-building approach. In this project, we carefully selected donor websites across both premium and more affordable platforms, taking GEO requirements and niche relevance into account. Our team secured quality placements even in competitive markets like the USA and Canada — a strategy similar to what we apply in our ecommerce link building campaigns.
